Legal Nurses

AIMEE EFTINK is an in-house nurse legal consultant. Aimee is a registered nurse and earned her associate degree through Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2015. She practiced nursing while completing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Central Methodist University in 2019.

Aimee is licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Missouri. She has years of experience in operating room, medical, surgical, telemetry and intensive care nursing. She also has worked in outpatient and trauma care. Aimee’s broad range of experience makes her a valuable member of our team.

CAROLE HILLIS is an in-house nurse legal consultant. Carole is a graduate of Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Southeast Missouri State University in 1995.

Carole has a broad range of clinical experience in emergency nursing, pediatrics, post-anesthesia care and perioperative nursing. Carole has successfully completed a Trauma Nurse Specialist program. Her expertise and experience bring a unique perspective and valuable contribution to our legal team.

Carole has over a decade of experience in the evaluation of complex medical issues that are often present in cases of medical negligence and personal injury. She provides invaluable assistance in the representation of our clients during all stages of litigation ranging from the beginning stages of lawsuit evaluation through the trial of a case.

CRYSTAL NUGENT is an in-house nurse legal consultant. Crystal became a licensed practical nurse and practiced in med-surg and long-term care settings for several years before graduating with an Associate’s of Applied Science Degree in Nursing from Three Rivers College (TRC) in 2001, where she earned the TRC Nursing Award. Crystal obtained her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Southeast Missouri State University in 2009.

Crystal is licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri and has more than 20 years clinical experience and successfully became a Certified Pediatric Nurse in 2006. Crystal’s knowledge and experience brings a matchless perspective and valuable contribution to our legal team.
